The
Gateway-Vanderbilt Cancer Treatment Center in Clarksville is a state-of-art,
free-standing radiation oncology facility. Our clinic utilizes IMRT
- the latest in cancer-fighting technology - offered by only a few
centers in Tennessee.
At
6,500 square feet, we house a Varian 2100EX Linear Accelerator with
Multi-leaf Collimator and Portal Imaging, a GE CT Helical Simulator,
a Varian Eclipse Treatment Planing System and Varian Varis Record
and Verify System. We currently utilize Intensity Modulated Radiation
Therapy, or IMRT, to treat specific patients. All of our equipment
known to be the highest quality of its kind in the radiation oncology
industry. We have the capability to use image fusion of PET scans,
CTs and MRIs within our treatment planning system to maximize treatment
delivery in order to meet the patient’s individual needs.
Our
radiation oncologists are board certified by the American College
of Radiology. They are also part of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer
Center Department of Radiation Oncology at Vanderbilt Medical Center,
the only Comprehensive Cancer Center in Tennessee designated by
the National Cancer Institute.
Our
goal is to give each patient the best quality radiation therapy
available.
